The Mission of the University of Evansville African American Alumni Association (UEAAA) is to maintain a close relationship among alumni, document the UE African American tradition and pass it on to students, and to maintain a close and nurturing connection with UE African American students by providing financial assistance, emotional support, and guidance.UEAAA News and Events

UEAAA Reunion - April 23-25, 2010
We are excited to host the first University of Evansville African-American Alumni (UEAAA) Reunion on April 23, 24 and 25, 2010 on the UE campus. The UEAAA Reunion will be a fun-filled weekend for all African-American alumni who attended the University of Evansville. It offers a great chance to reconnect with one another and connect with current African American students. If you attended or graduated from UE, or are a friend of UE, save Friday, April 23 through Sunday, April 25 for UEAAA Reunion 2010!

On April 4, 2009, Turae Dabney-Mumford '99, M'06 was elected the University of Evansville African American Alumni Association (UEAAA) President. She replaced Watez Phelps, Sr '01, M'04. Turae is the Executive Director of the Indianapolis Black Chamber of Commerce. She lives with her husband Maurice in Indianapolis, Indiana. |

Sherri Newman M'04 replaced Arnell Hill '80 as UEAAA Historian on April 4, 2009. Sherri lives in Evansville and is a Disaster Assistance Employee for FEMA. |
The University of Evansville Alumni and Parent Relations Office is happy for the influx of new, talented and energetic leadership. The outstanding leadership and service of Watez Phelps '01, M'04 and Arnell Hill '80 is appreciated. Watez's leadership as past president and Arnell's service as UEAAA Historian has benefited not only the University of Evansville, but the Evansville community.
During the luncheon, Stephen McNeal presented Historical Highlights - Black Students at UE, 1934 - 2006, a presentation created by Arnell Hill '80 about the history of Black Student Union students and African American alumni at the University of Evansville. Download the presentation.
